Just STOP a moment.

I notice my breath for one minute. Yes, 60 whole seconds. Maybe even breathe a little deeper. And feel the fullness. Try it! A holy moment.

I invite you to enjoy this taste of the largeness of life. A moment of peace. And light.

The rush of plans. Getting. Giving. Are we celebrating? Is this good for us?

May we all find light within, especially in these dark days of mid-winter. May we find light in those around us. In this way too we may know the light of God, come to be among us.

On these short, cold days we are comforted and warmed by God's light. We celebrate!

A holy moment: silent, still, solitude. A holy moment: celebrating the peace and light together.

“There is a pervasive form of contemporary violence
    --activism and overwork.
The rush and pressure of modern life are a form,
perhaps the most common form,
of its innate violence.”

            Thomas Merton
